Information Identified in Floor Plans

Relevant Standard(s): 5.1
Application: All Sectors

Issue:

Does Standard 5.1, Requirement 1a require actual inventory levels, or just the general type of inventory in the area? Would actual inventory levels be required for some items, such as active slot machines, but not others, such as stored replacement parts?

Response:

In terms of stored devices and replacement parts, it is not necessary to show the precise inventory levels or the exact type of part, but the level of sensitivity of the area, as well as the general type of inventory in the area should definitely be indicated. For active gaming devices and tables on the gaming floor, the exact number of devices should be included and the type of table game (e.g., blackjack vs. baccarat), but it isn’t necessary to go into greater detail regarding other information, such as the brand of machine.
