July 2020 – In line with our commitment to supporting the Charitable Gaming sector, the AGCO will now permit the acceptance of credit cards, as well as debit cards, for charitable gaming transactions at paper-based bingo facilities, on a temporary basis during the pandemic. This was an industry suggestion and is intended to provide some optional flexibility for paper-based bingo facilities in the interim, while also supporting public health measures. This flexibility is effective immediately to support plans for reopening.

Facilities are also asked to continue to consider any municipal by-laws in effect, such as the mandatory use of face coverings in enclosed, indoor spaces.

As announced in June, paper-based bingo halls will temporarily have greater flexibility on the number of bona fide member volunteers required to be present. The minimum number of members required has been reduced from three to one.
