(Update July 4, 2026): The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has approved the resumption of racing at Woodbine Racetrack effective July 4, after Woodbine Entertainment Group completed infrastructure repairs to the main track and satisfied all AGCO requirements necessary to ensure racing can resume safely.
(Update July 2, 2026): As track repair work continues, Woodbine Entertainment has announced that live racing will also be cancelled on Friday, July 3.

Today, Woodbine Entertainment announced live Thoroughbred training and racing has been cancelled at Woodbine Racetrack on July 2 due to a sewer line leak affecting its All-Weather Main Track.
Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Racing Officials are on site, working closely with Woodbine Entertainment and actively monitoring the situation.
The safety and welfare of horses and the safety of all racing participants remain the AGCO's highest priorities. The AGCO will continue to monitor the situation closely to help ensure racing can safely resume.
