Eligibility
If you want to open a new racetrack and this is the first time you’re applying for racetrack operator licence, please contact the AGCO to understand what you need to be eligible.

The AGCO must receive all application fees before we can process your application.

Step 1: Prepare your application
You’ll need to submit these things:
- application fee
- corporate structure
- details of incorporation
- business name registration
- details of shares
- constituting document(s)
- racetrack financial statements
- supporting documents
- signature of partner(s)
- signature of applicant – corporation
- signature of applicant - represented by an agent or representative
- list of officers, directors and key persons
- schematic diagram of corporation relationships
- agency letter of approval - horse racing
- horseperson’s association input
- racetrack business plan
- financial and economic projections
- Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency correspondence
- proposed race dates and rationale
All shareholders, officers, directors and key persons named above must provide personal disclosure information through the application.

Step 2: Apply online
If you’re applying for the first time you need to set up an iAGCO account. Once you’ve set up your iAGCO account, you can apply.
Step 3: Wait for a decision
We try to process applications promptly. There may be delays if there are complexities with the application or if we need to more information from you.
