The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) Board of Directors has approved three training programs for licence to deliver holders. The approval of these new programs supports the Ontario government's goal to increase consumer choice and convenience while ensuring the safe and responsible delivery of alcohol.
The approved training programs are designed to give licence to deliver holders—and anyone delivering alcohol or taking liquor orders on their behalf (e.g. employees or contractors)—the knowledge they need to meet their responsibilities under the Liquor Licence and Control Act, 2019 , its regulations and the Interim Standards and Requirements for Liquor established by the AGCO Registrar.
What’s required
Licence to deliver holders must ensure that every person delivering liquor or taking liquor orders for delivery (including employees and contractors) has a valid certificate showing they’ve successfully completed one of the AGCO Board-approved training programs below.
