As we enter a second provincial state of emergency, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) will once again be extending the term of all active liquor and gaming licences, registrations and authorizations by three months in order to continue providing support to the people and businesses regulated by the AGCO affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 18, 2020, the AGCO first announced it would extend by three months the term of such licences, authorizations and registrations it had issued. On April 14, 2020, July 17, 2020, and again on October 14, 2020, the AGCO further extended this measure by an additional three months each time.

Once again, affected licensees and registrants do not need to do anything, as their existing licences, authorizations and registrations will simply remain in effect for the extended period at no additional cost. Renewal reminder notifications will be sent 60 days before the new extended term expires.

As of January 18, licensees and registrants will be able to log into their iAGCO account and print a revised licence, registration or authorization showing the new extended expiry date.

If you do not currently have an iAGCO account, you will need to create one and use an AGCO-provided access code to link your active licence, registration or authorization to it. To obtain your access code please contact AGCO Customer Service at 416-326-8700 or toll free 1-800-522-2876 during regular  business hours  (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
