1. Executive Summary

The year 2018 marked a significant milestone for the AGCO – it commemorated the agency’s 20-year anniversary, which was celebrated with pride on February 22nd, 2018. It has been another busy and rewarding year for the AGCO. This Business Plan outlines the agency’s accomplishments over the past year, including the transformative changes the AGCO has undergone to advance its agenda to modernize its regulatory approach, business processes and workplace environment.

Regulatory Submission – EIPH Program – Add or Remove Horse (Ordinarily Competing in Ontario)

A Regulatory Submission – EIPH Program – Add or Remove Horse (Ordinarily Competing in Ontario) must be submitted by a Veterinarian, Trainer, Assistant Trainer or Owner to place or remove a horse ordinarily competing in Ontario to or from the Exercise Induced Pulmonary Haemorrhage (EIPH) Program (Lasix). The signature of an authorized veterinarian is required.

You are also required to submit an Authorization of Trainer (EIPH Program) with your submission to place the horse on the Program.

Chapter 5: Judges and Officials

5.01  At an extended race meeting, except in the case of an emergency, there shall be a minimum of two Judges employed and appointed by the Commission, one of whom shall be designated by the Registrar as Senior Judge under whose supervision the Judges shall, collectively, carry out all the duties and responsibilities specified in the Rules. All decisions of the Judges shall be determined by majority vote.

Chapter 2: Definitions

Act means the Horse Racing Licence Act, 2015.

Added Money Event means stakes, futurities, early closing events and late closing events.

Age of a horse shall be reckoned from the first day of January of the year of foaling.

Alcohol means the intoxicating agent in Beverage Alcohol, ethyl alcohol, or other low molecular weight alcohols including methyl and isopropyl.
